The Irish game developer and programmer has made a computer game with an eye towards creating fun.
Escritorico png, a short computer game that is available for download, features two-dimensional images of a cartoon character who plays a computer.
It is currently available in both Portuguese and Spanish, but the developers are working on a Spanish version.
It can be played for free, but will cost €1.50 ($2.60) if it is played online.
“We want to make the game fun, it is a really easy game,” said Rodrigo Santos, the programmer behind Escritors.
“I am not really good at programming, I only know how to write programs and I like to design games, so I am going to do something different.”
“I love computers, I love graphics, I like drawing, and I really like using them to communicate with people,” Santos said.
“But I am not a programmer, I have never been a programmer.”
Santos’ passion for computer graphics led him to develop his own games in 2011, when he was 16.
He began by working on one of the first computer games ever, a fantasy RPG called Myst.
He then developed a second game, a video game called Myst in 2012.
The game was released in 2015.
Since then, Santos has released other computer games in a variety of genres.
“The thing that surprised me most was that a game is still being made when I am only 16 years old,” Santos told The Irish News.
“So when I see a computer, I am always thinking about the game.”
The computer game was developed in Portuguese.
“When we started talking about this, we realized that it was possible for us to make it in English,” Santos explained.
“Because of the language barrier, it was also possible for the game to be made in Portuguese.”
The developers have released a version in English.
“It is an interactive game, you can see all the characters on the screen, you could tell where they are in the game, and you could also see the actions they make.
So the more you interact with it, the more the game is going to be interesting for you,” Santos added.
The developer has also released an audio version of the game.
“In order to make this fun, we created a sound track that is based on the game,” Santos stated.
The Escritoriales version is available to download for free.
“If you download the game for free you will be able to play it with your friends,” Santos revealed.
“You can even tell if someone is playing it because it is going down in the background.
There are a lot of features in the version, we have added a lot, like a different character, a different camera, new abilities, and more.”
“You are free to play the game with your friend, but you are also free to listen to the music,” Santos concluded.
The project is still in its early stages, but Santos hopes to release the game on Android and iOS in the future.
